PURPOSE OF CITYSERVE'S COMPASSION NETWORK
We are a faith-based, non-profit volunteer network and clearinghouse specifically serving Fremont, Union City and Newark residents. We have personally served over 21,000 people in need representing all faiths, economic and ethnic groups with an average of 33,000 requests per year.
Our volunteers are recruited through our Tri-City network of over 60 participating CityServe congregations. Each year we also partner with other community volunteers and faith groups to encourage a spirit of unity and service during the Make a Difference Day outreach. Explore our site and get involved!
What CityServe Compassion Network is:
A NETWORK of 60+ local congregations, 27+ social service agencies, local non-profits, schools and businesses working together to provide safety net resources and services to the most vulnerable in Fremont, Newark and Union City.
A RESOURCE offering strategic help to our cities as they struggle to meet the demands of an ever needy population.
A VOICE and HAND in helping those in the leadership of our cities serve those in need.
A CONDUIT for CityServe volunteers to help those in need by giving them well-defined opportunities to make a difference in the lives of others.
A MOVEMENT of inspired Christian volunteers living out their faith as stated in Matthew 25, “For I was hungry, and you fed Me. I was thirsty and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger and you invited Me into your home. I was naked and you gave me clothing. I was sick and you cared for Me. I was in prison and you visited me.” - Jesus.
